Window Views #2

Hi again! Welcome back to WINDOW VIEWS!

Photobucket
A view from inside.
While it's hard to tell, the section of glass on the right is pale pink stained glass.

The sunset in the windows.
I was about a block away when I took this shot using my zoom lens 10X.

~My favorite place is Central Park because you never know what you're going to find there. I also like that when I look out the windows of surrounding hotels, it's seems like I'm looking out over a forest.~

I'll visit as many people as I can. Especially this first day!

Have fun everybody!

I've posted what I think is a very simple but attractive window for my first post.

This is called a classic Half Round Window. It's also called a

Fanlight or Fan Window -- a half round window that looks like a lady's fan opened up. Usually it is near the roof of a building, or over the front door or a window.

A keystone has been added above the round arch. A keystone is the central wedge-shaped stone of an arch that locks its parts together. In this case though it was added as decoration.

NOTE

Had a little problem with Mr. Linky and I lost a couple of people who signed in. It's okay now. :)

~A leaf fluttered in through the window this morning, as if supported by the rays of the sun, a bird settled on the fire escape, joy in the task of coffee, joy accompanied me as I walked. ~

Welcome!

Hi Everyone! Welcome to a brand new meme for Thursday called

WINDOW VIEWS

An unusual window in a house at a wildlife refuge on Long Island that I photographed some time ago.

I've always been fascinated by all kinds of windows. And photographing them from the outside or the inside has been fun for me. Will you join me?

You can post:

house windows,
castle windows,
stained glass windows,
old windows,
new windows,
animals or people looking out of windows,
views through windows

Here are the rules:

Post your own photographs

Describe your photographs and the circumstances of taking your pictures if you want to

You may post as early as Wednesday at 4 o'clock EST (that's when I will post)

Have fun!
